Your first visit to Shankey Male Grooming

What to expect when you book your first appointment at our Ballyhackamore or Holywood barber shop.

1. Book online

Choose your shop, your barber, your service and a time that suits you. Booking online is quick, and you can pick the barber you want or the first available.

2. Arrive a few minutes early

Ballyhackamore is on the Upper Newtownards Road in East Belfast, and Holywood is on Church Road, with convenient parking nearby. Arriving a few minutes early means your full appointment time goes on you.

3. Tell us what you want

Your barber will ask what you are after and talk it through. A photo of a style you like helps, and so does telling us how much time you want to spend styling at home.

4. Your full 30 minutes

Most of our appointments are a full 30 minutes, which is a real difference from a quick cut. Perms and colour take longer, and the time is shown when you book.

5. Afterwards

Ask about the products your barber used, and about our loyalty card, which earns you complimentary grooming products. Then book your next visit before you go, or online when you are ready.

Good to know

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel. Cancellations with less notice are charged at the full price of the appointment. Students need a valid ID card for student rates.

Questions

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself. A photo of the style you want is helpful but not essential.

Can I book a haircut for my son?

Yes. We cut hair for all ages and there are services for children and teenagers. Check the price list for the details.

What if I need to cancel or I am running late?

Call your shop as soon as you can. We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel, and later cancellations are charged at the full price of the appointment.

Where do I find opening hours and phone numbers?

Both are on the branch pages for Ballyhackamore and Holywood, and at the bottom of every page.
